Ms. Murchison joined James W. Sewall Company in 2007 and manages Sewall’s branch office in Caribou. She has over 30 years of experience in the civil engineering field and has managed, designed, and monitored a wide variety of projects throughout Aroostook County and eastern Maine including roadway, storm drain, water, and sewer systems. She also has practical experience with downtown revitalizations, pedestrian trails, boat landings, parking lots, site design, environmental permitting, building construction, and building and civil construction administration services.
When she is not playing in the dirt at work, Jan enjoys taking long walks with her husband, Ken (who still holds her hand, setting the bar too high for many of their friends); watching all kinds of movies, quoting pertinent scenes as needed; reading great mystery novels; listening to loud rock music; and relaxing at their lake-view camp, with early-morning canoe paddling on Long Lake. Jan and Ken are also the proud parents of a daughter and a son, both UMaine college graduates, who have turned out okay, so far.
