Sevee & Maher Engineers (SME) Acquires James W. Sewall Infrastructure Engineering and Survey, New Jersey Groundwater Resources Firm

CUMBERLAND, ME – Cumberland-based Sevee & Maher Engineers, Inc. (SME), a multidisciplinary engineering and environmental consulting firm, has acquired the civil and traffic engineering and survey arms of James W. Sewall Company (Sewall) of Bangor, Maine, and the water resources firm Uhl & Associates (Uhl) of Lambertville, New Jersey.

SME’s acquisition of Sewall bolsters SME’s Civil Engineering sector in Maine, while allowing the firm to expand its offerings with Traffic Engineering and Surveying to better serve its clients.

“Sewall is a firm that has a great foundation and trust in the world of Maine engineering,” said SME Vice President and Senior Civil Engineer, Dan Diffin.  “By bringing this historic firm and impressive staff to SME, it will help us to offer our clients closer contacts throughout southern, central, and northern Maine, to say nothing of the combined expertise of SME and Sewall’s multiple areas of service.”

Uhl & Associates is a New Jersey-based groundwater hydrology and environmental specialty firm, whose acquisition strengthens SME’s presence in New Jersey and provides a platform for SME to extend its full range of services to more clients throughout the region.
