Heather is a hybrid engineer working on both structural and traffic projects. She graduated from the University of Maine in 2011 with her Bachelor of Science and 2013 with her Master of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering with a structural focus. At the University of Maine, she worked at the Advanced Structures and Composites Center doing research on the Bridge in a Backpack Project TM. She has six years of structural bridge engineering experience working on transportation projects in Maine, Rhode Island, Georgia, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire. Projects include bridge load ratings for the MaineDOT, a historic bridge scour design-build project in Massachusetts, and bridge and traffic work on the I-285 SR 400 Interchange in Georgia. She has been involved with the Maine Section of ASCE since college, is the monthly newsletter editor, K-12 Outreach Chair, and has recently joined the Board of
Direction.

When not solving the world’s problems one traffic signal at a time, you can find her at the gym, hiking, visiting breweries, playing field hockey and softball, or snuggling her pets. She has her CrossFit Level 1 and USA Weightlifting Certifications and coaches locally.
